Sam Walcott

Director

With seven years of experience at our center, Sam Walcott has embraced multiple roles, including Assistant Teacher, Lead Teacher, and Administrative Assistant, before becoming the Director. Passionate about early childhood education, Sam understands the importance of strong relationships with families, prioritizing their needs and support. As a parent of four active children, Sam is committed to creating a nurturing environment that values family connections and ensures every child feels supported and cared for.

Maddie Bowman

Administrative Assistant

Maddie Bowman brings many years of childcare experience, with over three of those years at FELC. Having served as both Assistant Teacher and Lead Teacher in the toddler room, she now takes on the role of Administrative Assistant. Maddie has a deep love for children and numbers, and her strong attention to detail ensures that everything runs smoothly. She is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for both children and families, ensuring a positive experience for everyone at the center.

Summer

Toddler 1 Lead

Summer brings many years of childcare experience to her role as Toddler 1 Lead. Currently pursuing a degree in Child Development, she combines her academic knowledge with her hands-on experience to create a nurturing environment for young children. With a sweet young daughter of her own, Summer has a genuine passion for fostering growth and learning in every child she cares for, making her an invaluable asset to our team.

Tonisha

Toddler 2 Lead

Tonisha brings many years of childcare experience to her role as Toddler 2 Lead and is currently working toward her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. With two young daughters keeping her busy at home, she understands the joys and challenges of early childhood. Tonisha is committed to learning alongside the children in her care, creating a dynamic and engaging environment that supports their growth and development.

Nicole

Toddler 3 Lead

With seven years of experience at FELC, Nicole has played a vital role as the Toddler 3 Lead. Recently welcoming a baby girl into her family, she deeply values the interactions with the children in her care, recognizing the importance of building strong relationships. Nicole's nurturing approach and commitment to creating a positive learning environment make her an essential part of our team, ensuring that each child feels supported and encouraged to grow.

Kylie

Early Preschool Lead

Kylie brings years of experience from other childcare centers, making her a dynamic presence in the classroom. Known for her infectious energy, there’s never a dull moment when she’s around! Outside of work, she stays busy with her two young boys, which fuels her passion for creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences. As the Early Preschool Lead, Kylie’s lively approach ensures that every child in her class is actively involved and excited to learn.

Ashley

Preschool Lead

Ashley is an experienced Preschool Lead with many years in early childhood education. She stands strong in her faith, bringing a calm and caring presence to the classroom. Ashley is passionate about encouraging creativity and loves incorporating art into her lessons, allowing children to express themselves and explore their imaginations. Her nurturing approach helps create a supportive environment where every child feels valued and inspired to learn.

Melissa

Pre-K Lead

Miss Melissa has been a dedicated teacher at FELC for over five years. She loves working with children and finds joy in watching them grow and learn each day. Her passion for the Pre-K class shines through in her caring nature and commitment to creating a nurturing environment for her students

Abbie

School Age Lead

Abbie serves as the School Age Lead, bringing a wealth of patience for children of all ages. She loves to participate in and play along with all the activities, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere while maintaining her leadership role in the classroom. Abbie’s hands-on approach helps build strong connections with the children, ensuring they feel supported and excited to learn and explore. Her enthusiasm and dedication make her a vital part of our team.

Liz

Infant

Liz is our Infant Lead, dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for the little ones. She loves spending time with her family, especially her young son. Liz is passionate about supporting children's growth and development with care and patience.

Kristin McLain

Cook

Kristin McLain has been an essential member of the FELC team since late 2015. Previously an Assistant Teacher and Lead Teacher in the infant room, she now brings her talents to the role of Cook. Known for creating delicious meals and baked goods, Kristin’s enthusiasm for interacting with the children is contagious. As a busy mom of two boys, she understands the importance of nutritious and enjoyable food, making her an integral part of our center’s community.
