Stacey Swanson - Director

Stacey graduated from Calvin College with a BA in Elementary Education. She taught in the elementary classroom for a short time prior to running her own licensed in-home day care. She and her husband have three teenage/young adult children whom she homeschooled for several years. Most recently Stacey has worked at a childcare center in the Holland area as a Preschool teacher and as a Director. She is currently attending Western Michigan University to pursue a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She joined FELC as the Director in July of 2016.


Chelsey Loper - Assistant Director

Chelsey has been in the early childhood field for over 10 years. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Spring Arbor University in Family Life Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood. She has taught inclusion preschool in a diverse setting and has started preschool programs. She will be graduating with her Master's Degree in Education, Istruction, and Curriculum (Early Childhood Education Emphasis) from Grand Valley State University in December 2018. She is married and has two daughters.


Eden Hayes - Head Teacher, Infants Room

Eden graduated from Purdue University in the fall of 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She has been working with families in the social work field for the past few years. She is thrilled to be working with children full time, which has been a dream of hers. Eden lives in Hudsonville with her husband and golden retriever.


Nicole Nelson - Head Teacher, Toddler 1

Nicole has been working with children since 2011. Most of her experience is in learning centers with some of her experience being in a workplace where she did one-on-one therapy with children who have Autism. She has a great passion for working with children and loves to watch them grow and learn. Nicole has her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with hopes of going back to obtain her Master's Degree in Child and Family Counseling. She has been married since 2012 and has one amazing little girl who makes life so much more fun!


Holly Schnooberger - Head Teacher, Toddler 2

Holly has been working with children since 2003. She has her Child Development Associates specializing in infants and toddlers. She loves teaching the toddlers at FELC because they are at such a cute age and are so eager to learn. Holly lives in Hudsonville with her 5 children. In her free time she enjoys reading, photography, and spending time with her family.


Samantha Jones - Head Teacher, Toddler 3

Samantha graduated with and Associate's in Child Development in May 2018. She has worked in a child care setting since 2014. Before that, Samantha spent a lot of time babysitting, nannying, and even worked in retail. In her free time she enjoys being outside and spending time with her friends and family.


Rachel Heberlein- Head Teacher, Threes Preschool

Rachel has been working with children for about 8 years. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Child Development with a focus in Preschool Teaching from Michigan State University in May 2018. She has experience working in diverse settings through Head Start and Great Start Readiness Programs. She is excited to be a part of the FELC Community and to grow relationships with all the children and families here.


Danielle Streelman - Head Teacher, Pre-K

Danielle started working at FELC in 2008, worked in other centers, and returned in 2013. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Danielle has worked in many different age groups, but she finds that Pre-K is the most exciting classroom she has worked in yet! She also has a daughter, Ava, who also attends FELC.


Amanda Hoskins - Head Teacher, School Age

Amanda started working at FELC in 2017. She loves working at a place with a faith base and welcoming community. Amanda is working on her degree in Elementary Education at Grand Valley State University and loves the experience of working with children in a setting outside of the classroom. She looks forward to making great memories and learning about the children in the School Age Class.


Aida Valdez - Spanish Program Director

Aida enjoys working with children very much. She has had the pleasure of working with children of different ages for more than 20 years and has worked at FELC since 2009. Aida completed her studies in Mexico, where she obtained the equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree in Education at the Universidad Autonoma del Noreste. She is also a mother of two young ladies. She enjoys music, reading, painting, and spending time with her family.
